Welcome to the Texas State Council of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International. If you are looking for an opportunity to learn, meet new friends, and serve mankind, you have come to the right place.
ESA came into being in 1929 because a group of individuals came together to learn, grow and prepare themselves for an ever-changing world. In the small town of Jacksonville, TX, they began meeting together to find a way to fulfill their dreams.
It was only five months later (February 1930) that 10 outstanding women signed the charter making Epsilon Sigma Alpha a national noncollegiate sorority.
While the first chapter was organized in Texas in 1929, the national charter was issued to ESA in the state of Missouri on February 11, 1930. The organization still functions under the original charter but is now incorporated in the state of Colorado.
ESA is an international leadership and service organization with a network of thousands of members in over 1200 communities and collegiate chapters.
ESA members help to raise over $10 million annually for both national and local philanthropic organizations while providing hundreds of thousands of service hours to local charities.
Internationally, ESA supports both St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Easter Seals. Chapters in our state support March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, Meals on Wheels, Special Olympics, and numerous other local charities in Texas. Some of these organizations recognize Epsilon Sigma Alpha as being a major donor to their causes and call upon them whenever volunteers are needed.
ESA's unique program provides each member with the training, education, and support needed to promote successful charitable service while developing personal and professional skills in management, public relations, and leadership.
ESA enables its members to be themselves, have fun, and serve others.
